About

Who are we?

A Community Development Group has been formed comprised of members from the various organisations based within the community:

  • Community Council

  • Knockanore National School

  • Shamrocks Ladies Football

  • KGK Community Hall Committee

  • Shamrocks GAA Club

  • Blackwater Ladies Club

  • Heritage Society

Since establishing in 2022, we have secured full Title and Planning to JFK Park along with title and planning on land adjacent to the KGK Community Hall and Knockanore NS, where our Community Park will be built.

    Accountability: Liaising with all professionals such as solicitor, accountant, organising meetings etc.

    Representing: Shamrocks Ladies Gaelic Football Association
    Accountability: Finance and Grant applications

There are a further 10 people representing the community groups who make up the full committee of the CLG.

These are: Tony O’Brien, Carmel O’Keeffe-Power, Deirdre O’Donovan, Helen Murphy, Shirley Roche, Kevin Moloney, Bridget Hunt, William Motherway, Sinead Lenehan.

There are other members of the community are involved in defined working groups and who lend their skills in a practical way to help progress the phases.
